As we continue to update the business community to the ever-evolving situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, we wanted to send out some more information.
First, We are asking businesses that are able to be good neighbors and please allow citizens that are 60 years and older to come and shop in your stores earlier when your storefront is empty, stocked and freshly sanitized. This would be a great way to show care and concern to our most vulnerable demographic.

And finally, our hospitality industry is suffering the greatest initial loss of employment. Below is a link about filing for unemployment in Alabama
According to CNBC, "The good news: The federal government is allowing states to expand eligibility for unemployment benefits because of the impact of COVID-19. If your employer had to temporarily shut down operations because of coronavirus, you can file. The same is true of employees who are currently being quarantined, but expect to return to work after. "
